But do people even stay the same person after a decade? My aunt still has her wild political rants from 2010 on Facebook, and she's totally different now. It's weird to judge someone forever for old online stuff.

Twelve years is a long time for tweets to come back around. Hard to believe old jokes can threaten a whole program.

Man that exact thing happened at my town's library last year. Some council member had ancient tweets surface about a book series, whole funding vote got messy over it. They almost lost the after-school program because of drama from like 2012. Took months for things to calm down and people to focus on what the place actually does. Wild how old internet stuff can blow up a real community spot.
