My boss caught me Googling 'how to quit a job without notice' during a meeting
Last Thursday I was on a Zoom call with my manager and 12 other people when I accidentally shared my screen showing a browser tab titled 'how to quit a job without notice reddit.' I froze for like 5 seconds before slamming my laptop shut. My manager, Dave from accounting, just said 'Rowan, see me after the call' in the flattest voice ever. Has ANYONE else had a screen share disaster that somehow didn't get you fired?

Oh man, that's brutal! I had a coworker once who accidentally screenshared a meme about lazy coworkers during a productivity meeting, and @nathan100 was the only one who noticed and said nothing until the call ended, which made it way more awkward. Seriously though, your laptop slam was probably the smartest thing you did there, at least it ended the suffering fast.

Managers like Dave always have that creepy calm voice when they catch you doing something bad. But here's what I'm wondering - did you actually want to quit, or was that just a random late-night anxiety search that popped up? Because there's a huge difference between "I was curious about my options" and "I literally had my resignation letter ready to hit send." Also, was your camera on when you slammed the laptop shut? Because that dramatic move probably made everyone laugh way more than the screen share itself.
