Saw a guy at the lumber yard say Japanese saws are overrated
I overheard some customer at Home Depot telling his buddy that Japanese pull saws are just a gimmick and Western saws are superior for everything. I bit my tongue but my shop has a Dozuki that I use for nearly all my joinery cuts. Has anyone else run into this weird pride thing where people dismiss tools they have never even tried?

Had a customer come into the shop once saying the same thing. Pulled out my Dozuki and let him try a few cuts on some scrap oak. He bought one before he left. Quieted down real fast.
