Took me 3 hours to hang one cabinet door because of a 1/16 inch twist in the frame
Spent most of Saturday on a single upper cabinet door in a kitchen out in Naperville. The frame was twisted just enough that the door would rub at the top corner no matter how I set the hinges, and I kept adjusting the same screw like a dummy. Turned out the wall itself was out of plumb, so I had to shim the cabinet and redo the whole thing. Three hours for one door, and I used to knock out a full run of uppers in a morning back when I was framing houses in my twenties. Has anyone else had a wall fight them like that, and how do you check for it before the boxes go up?
