Warning: dropped $90 on a biscuit joiner for one bookshelf and it's been in my truck since March

Two years into building and I still fell for the "you need this for clean joints" pitch at the Rockler in St. Louis, and now the thing just rides around in my truck like a paperweight. Did anyone actually get real use out of one of these, or am I just bad at finding projects for it?
