Finally hit a clean seam on a patterned carpet today
Visited a buddy's job site in Minneapolis last week. Saw him running a patterned carpet and messing it up 3 times in a row. Made me appreciate how much patience that takes. Anyone else struggle with pattern matching on busy prints?

Oh man, folding the seam back to double check is a lifesaver on busy patterns.

Different lighting makes a huge difference too, what looks like a perfect match under fluorescent bulbs can suddenly be a half inch off in natural light. Ever walked into a finished job the next morning and wanted to cry?

Half inch off in natural light" hits too close to home lol. I did a small bathroom last month where I was so proud of the color match under the shop lights, then the homeowner opened the blinds the next morning and I almost packed up and left. What's your go-to move when you realize the mismatch is already dry and set? Do you try to blend it out more or just tell the client it needs a full redo? I've had mixed luck with feathering over it if the pattern isn't too wild, but sometimes you just have to own the mistake and start fresh.
