Knee kicker pad split mid-room, ruined my whole morning
Doing a 12x15 living room in Beaverton yesterday and the rubber pad on my knee kicker just gave out on the third row. The teeth stopped grabbing, carpet bunched up bad. Had to drive 20 minutes to the supply house for a new pad. Cost $18 but it burned 45 minutes. Anyone else keep a spare pad in the van or is that just me now?
45 minutes for an $18 pad sounds about right, that's the real kick in the teeth. I blew one out on a Friday job last year and had to call the homeowner to explain why I was late, which went over great. Now I keep two spares in a ziploc bag under the seat, learned that lesson the hard way.
