Old chalk line trick still beats all the new laser gadgets
Was setting up a living room in Phoenix yesterday and my laser level kept washing out on the sunny windows. Grabbed my old chalk line, snapped it like my first boss taught me back in '04, had the grid done in 10 minutes flat. Anyone else still carry chalk when the tech acts up?

Man, I feel that. Nothing beats the old school stuff when the batteries die or the sun wins. I still keep a chalk box in my truck for backup, and sometimes I grab it first just cause it's FAST. That snap sound is still SO satisfying too, even after all these years. Laser gadgets are great until they aren't, you know? Good on you for sticking with what works.
