That glue-down job in Austin changed how I look at backing
Did a 4,000 sq ft commercial floor last spring with a cheap poly backing and it looked great for about 6 months. Then the seams started peaking like crazy, customer in Round Rock was pissed. Switched to a woven backing on the last two jobs and no issues yet. Anyone else seen this big a difference just from the backing type?
Moisture vapor emissions can wreck any backing, cheap or not, if the slab wasn't tested right before install. That's the hidden variable nobody mentions when blaming the material.
