Found out my bank was tracking every coffee I bought with debit
Last month I looked at my bank's app and saw they had a whole timeline of my spending, down to the $2.50 coffee I grabbed at 7-Eleven in Cleveland. My buddy who works in tech said they sell that data to advertisers and I felt like a fool for not seeing it. How do you guys keep your purchases private without just using cash?

Cash is still the only way to stay off their radar.

@xena_bailey18 you're not wrong but try explaining that to someone who just got hit with a "card only" sign at a food truck. Then suddenly you're the weirdo for having a wallet full of paper money. Honestly though I love watching people panic when the power goes out and they realize their fancy apple pay doesn't work anymore. Cash is basically a backup battery for your wallet and nobody treats it that way. Just keep a little stash hidden somewhere nobody can track.

£50 in an old book saved me when the card machines went down @xena_bailey18
