My 1993 Nokia brick still beats my smartphone for one thing
I dug my old Nokia 2110 out of a drawer last Tuesday to show my nephew what a real phone felt like. The battery somehow held a charge and the LCD screen is still crystal clear after 31 years. But the thing that hit me was the keypad. Those rubber buttons still have that solid click, no typos, no autocorrect garbage. My $800 iPhone has a glass screen that smudges and a keyboard that fights me every time. It made me wonder, when did we trade reliability for fancy touchscreens? Has anyone else gone back to a keypad phone and felt the same?
