Question about the Nokia 3310 battery trick everyone on YouTube keeps getting wrong
I pulled my old 3310 out of a drawer in my mom's garage in Toledo last month and the battery was totally dead, so I watched like 5 videos claiming you can revive it by freezing it for 24 hours. I did it, and the phone booted for about 10 minutes before dying again, which tells me the freeze thing just wakes it up once, it does not fix the cell. The real issue is those old NiMH packs build up crystals that block the charge, and a few slow charge cycles at low amps does way more than the freezer ever will. So what actually worked for you guys, did anyone get a real fix or did you just swap in a new pack?
Are you sure the freezer didn't do more than you're giving it credit for? I froze mine twice and the second time it held a charge for almost two days, which is way past a 10 minute fluke. Maybe your pack was just too far gone and no amount of slow charging was gonna save it either.
