I finally tried to bike to work in Denver and got caught in a hailstorm

I was only a mile from the office when the sky just opened up, so I ducked into a library and ended up talking to a librarian about their new solar panels. Has anyone else had a climate-friendly plan totally backfire but find a silver lining?

Climate-friendly plan backfiring" is a stretch. You just got caught in normal weather. The silver lining you found was a chat about solar panels, which is cool, but that's just a random conversation, not some big win for the planet. Sometimes a bike ride is just a wet bike ride.

Small talks can plant seeds though. That neighbor might actually look into solar now. Every bit of normal chat about green stuff helps shift what people see as possible.
