Wait no, that's rough - how'd you finally catch it? Bet that felt like a punch in the gut when you found out.

Tracked it down through my payment history actually, @nathan100. Noticed a couple small charges I didn't recognize from a few months back, nothing huge like $5 or $10 at first. Then I went back and cross-referenced every single recurring subscription against my bank statements and that's when the bigger ones hit me, a good $80 per month from something I'd forgotten I even signed up for. Felt like walking into a wall.

Wait no, but that's the thing about bugs like this, @nathan100 - sometimes the simplest stuff hides in plain sight the longest. It's not even that "Hello World" is hard, it's that you get so used to seeing it that your brain just fills in the blanks. Like, you glance at it a hundred times and never really look at it until something else breaks and forces you to trace the whole thing back. And then you find out your console.log was missing a semicolon that changed the whole string or something equally dumb. Honestly, it's almost a rite of passage at this point - everyone's got that one bug they sat on for way too long because they were too confident to double-check the basics.
