My simple code project now tracks how much plastic we recycle at home
I built a basic web page with HTML and JavaScript to log our weekly recycling. It counts bottles, bags, and other items we reuse. This helped me learn about arrays and user input. Seeing the numbers grow each month makes coding feel useful for the planet.

Started tracking my own waste last year and saw the exact pattern @lucasw57 described. I switched to freezing simple meals on weekends for those crazy weeks. It cut my container use by half and saved a ton of money too.

Actually it's the planning ahead that saves money, not just the freezing. If you don't buy the right stuff on the weekend, you're just freezing air.
