Shoutout to the person who showed me how to use Git branches properly

I used to just code everything on the main branch and hope nothing broke. Then this guy in a Discord server spent 20 minutes walking me through creating feature branches and merging them. That was about 6 months ago and I haven't looked back. Now I can mess around with new ideas without worrying about ruining my working project. It took me like 3 tries to get the hang of it but now it feels natural. Has anyone else had a moment where one simple tip changed how you code?

Oh man, it's wild how one little thing can just click and suddenly everything makes more sense. Idk maybe it's just me but I feel like that happens a lot in life too, like once you learn to parallel park or fold a fitted sheet the right way, it feels obvious after.

Submodules were mine, just clicked one random day.

Heard a podcast say those submodules just randomly pop up for no reason.
