I finally got the hang of grinding coffee beans by hand
For years, I used an electric grinder and never thought much of it. Then I tried a manual grinder and had a hard time at first. After watching some videos and practicing, I saw how much control it gives over the grind size. My morning cup tastes so much better now, with more flavor and less bitterness. It took patience, but learning this skill changed my whole coffee routine. I think everyone should try it to really appreciate their coffee.
Wanted to add that the less bitterness probably isn't just from the manual grinder. Tbh, bitterness usually comes from how you brew it, like water that's too hot. Ngl, the manual grind helps a lot with flavor, but dialing in your brewer makes a bigger difference for bitterness. It's a cool skill to learn for sure, just don't blame your old electric grinder for everything.
