Rant: watched a barista in Portland pull my shot at 18 grams in 14 seconds and I haven't trusted a drive thru since
Stood at the counter of a shop on SE Division and watched him slam it through, no scale, no timer, and it tasted like wet cardboard. Now I ask what dose they use before I order anywhere, and if they shrug, I just get drip. What's your go to question to weed out a bad shot before you pay for it?

Did he even look at the shot after pulling it or just hand it over like nothing was wrong? That part gets me more than the timing, because a 14 second gusher is obvious to anyone who's been behind a bar for a week. Did you say anything to him or just take the loss and drink your sad cardboard?
