Serious question, is a printed diploma on the wall worth $60 or just a PDF?
So my school charges $60 for a printed diploma and $15 extra for a fancy cover, and I skipped both about a month ago and just took the digital copy. My dad says nobody takes you seriously without the paper on the wall, and honestly my first interview in Austin back in March went fine with just the PDF. But my cousin who works in HR says a framed diploma behind your desk still does something for trust when clients walk in. On the other side, $60 feels like a cash grab when the file is right there and a frame from a craft store costs more than the diploma itself. I keep going back and forth. Did you pay for the paper version or just keep the PDF, and do you actually feel like it mattered?
