Convention weekend high and low: Saturday crowds vs Sunday deals
Last month I hit the big comic expo in Chicago for two straight days. Saturday was packed wall to wall, I waited 40 minutes just to get a sketch from a minor artist, and vendors wanted double cover price for anything decent. But Sunday morning was a total flip: half the crowd gone, a dealer sold me a complete run of a 1986 series for 15 dollars because he didn't want to haul it back. Which side do you think shows the real fan spirit, the hype days or the quiet clear-out days? Has anyone else noticed Sunday steals beat Saturday energy for actual collecting?
