Stop hunting back issues at every shop in town, a $15 pull list at my local shop fixed everything
I used to drive to 4 different shops around Denver trying to find the single issues I missed, and half the time I came home with nothing but a stack of stuff I didn't even want. Last March I finally set up a pull list at one shop near my apartment and told the guy exactly which titles I follow, and now every Wednesday my books are waiting in a folder with my name on it. I've saved probably $60 a month on gas and impulse buys, and I haven't missed an issue since. The owner even texts me when a variant I might want shows up. Anyone else made the switch from shop hopping to one home store, and did you regret it?
I did the same thing but with guitar strings of all things, got tired of hitting three shops every time I broke one and just started buying in bulk online. Now I've got like 40 packs in a drawer and my wife thinks I have a problem.
