That $80 omnibus I avoided for two years turned out fine
I kept skipping this collected edition because every forum thread had someone complaining about the binding cracking on page 50. Finally grabbed it at a con in Portland last month and I've read the whole thing twice now with zero issues. Maybe the early print run had defects but my copy is solid. Has anyone else had a fear about a book that just never materialized once you actually got it?

Had the same worry about that big Invincible compendium for years. Everyone online swore the spine would fall apart, but mine's held up through two full rereads and a drop off my nightstand. Sometimes the internet just loves to doom and gloom a specific printing.
