That comment from a 12 year old about my pull box made me stop and think
I was showing off my longbox collection to my buddy's kid last Saturday and he asked why I organized by publishing year instead of by story arc, and honestly his logic on following characters through their big changes made way more sense than just lining up numbers, has anyone else tried switching up their filing system after a kid called it out?

Three years ago my uncle had the same wake-up call with his record collection when his granddaughter asked why he sorted by genre instead of how the artists evolved, and now he swears by it. It's funny how kids see the story behind the stuff while we get stuck in our own habits, like arranging things by numbers just because that's how we always did it. Maybe the real lesson is that organization should follow what you actually care about, not what looks neat on a shelf.
