That one guy who always argued Stan Lee was overhyped actually made a decent point
I laughed off a dude at my local shop in 2019 who said Ditko was the real genius behind the early Spider-Man issues, but after digging through the old Lee/Kirby stuff on FF #1 through #20 I started seeing where he was coming from, anyone else have a fan theory they dismissed at first that turned out to hold water?

Wait, Ditko did the bulk of the plotting on those early Spider-Man issues? That flips the whole "Stan Lee was the master storyteller" thing on its head completely. Always figured the artists just drew what Lee told them, never realized how much power they had over the direction.

Found the same thing working with indie artists, @murphy.tessa, so I always ask about plotting before assuming who did what.
