TIL fans are making sealed boxes for comic storage
Read a thread about DIY comic preservation. People use plastic tubs with gasket seals. Keeps out dust and moisture pretty well. Seems like a smart move for protecting older books.

Honestly, learning to make stuff at home just became a habit. Started with simple things like bread a while back, and the results were way better than expected. The whole process ends up being pretty satisfying once you get past the initial mess. It just makes you wonder what else you've been overpaying for.

Yeah the original post says "fans are making sealed boxes," but that's not really new. Sean's right, collectors have been doing this kind of DIY storage for ages. It's a pretty standard way to handle long term protection without buying expensive specialty products. The plastic tub with a gasket is basically the go to move.
