Switching to a new brand of drysuit without a test dive was my worst mistake
The leak wasn't obvious until I was 50 feet down and freezing.

What brand was it, and where was the leak exactly? A wrist seal, neck seal, or was it a seam that let go? Knowing the failure point would help others check theirs.

Funny how the smallest point of failure can ruin the whole system, like @alice_bailey62 said about the neck seam. It's the same with a slow tire leak or a dripping faucet. You don't notice it until you're already ankle deep in cold water or stuck on the side of the road. The big problems usually start with one tiny, stupid spot nobody thought to check twice.

Check the back neck seam, always goes first.

So was it a seam leak? I did that once, felt like a human popsicle because of one tiny hole.
