So you're saying watching someone is like seeing a magic trick where they hide the sneaky hand move? @jessechen is right that you see the goal, but then you try it and your hand just flops around creating new artistic streaks. The "simple fix" always turns into two hours of messy practice where you finally learn your own weird trick.

Disagree with calling it a simple fix. Those subtle hand movements causing streaks are hard to copy from just watching. You gotta put in the messy practice yourself to really fix it.

But can't you pick up a lot just from seeing it done right? I agree practice is key, but watching the subtle stuff first makes the messy practice way more focused.
