That weird Wednesday where everything went right for once

I had this one day back in March that was so perfect it made me suspicious. Started with my van starting on the first try, which never happens, then I hit every green light on the way to the supply house. Got a call about a job in Oak Park that turned out to be a 15 minute fix, the guy handed me $120 cash and said keep the change. Stopped for lunch at that diner on Lake Street and they got my order right, even remembered I like extra pickles. By 3pm I had three more calls come in, all easy stuff, no crawlspaces or attics. I drove home thinking either I died and didn't notice or something bigger was going on, like the universe was setting me up for a fall. Has anyone else had a day that was too good and just waited for the other shoe to drop?

I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure I'd call it the universe setting you up. It sounds more like you're just paying extra attention now. That feeling when something good happens and you're waiting for the other shoe to drop, it's a hard habit to shake. But sometimes a nice moment is just a nice moment. I've had plenty of times where I thought trouble was coming around the corner, and it never showed up. Maybe try enjoying it for what it is, without expecting a catch.
