Last week I was pricing a remodel job in Tulsa. Client said the wall was load bearing. I trusted the field measurements and bid it at $18,500. Then I pulled the original 1978 prints from the county office. That wall was a partition, not load bearing. Dropped my bid $3,200 and actually won it. How many of you pull old permits before you quote a job?
