Unpopular opinion: I stopped using a level laser for framing and switched back to a string line

I used to set every wall plate with a $150 laser level on job sites around Austin, and it worked fine, but last spring I picked up a 50-cent mason's line from the truck after the battery died. The string gives me the same straight reference for less fiddle time, and I catch crown or bow problems faster when I'm sighting down the wall. Any other folks ditch the fancy tools for the old school method on regular interior work?
