Am I the only one who thinks freezing chili on day 3 makes it better than day 1?
My husband says fresh chili wins, but last Saturday I pulled a 5 week old batch from the freezer in Reno and it beat the stuff I made that morning, so tell me which side you are on.
Freezing wins, no question. Something happens in there where the spices just melt into everything and the meat gets all soft. I made a pot in October, froze half, and ate it in December and it tasted like a whole different meal. Fresh is fine but it needs a day or two to catch up.
