Found a faster way to dry hair before foiling

Been cutting my processing time by about 15 minutes per client just by giving roots a quick blast with the hood dryer for 2-3 minutes before I start sectioning. Drier roots mean the lightener doesn't slip as much and I can work cleaner. Anyone else do this or got other pre-foil tricks?

My shop is in an old building with shitty electrical so the hood dryer takes forever to heat up. I started using a hand towel to really press the water out of the roots before I even grab my comb. I'll section off the top half, wrap the dry towel around the wet parts and squeeze for like 30 seconds. Works especially good on clients who just washed their hair that morning and the roots are still soaked. I got it down to where my foils stop bleeding after the first row.

I saw a stylist mention pre-toweling with a microfiber cloth before sectioning, sounds like a similar idea. The less moisture in the roots, the cleaner my foils sit and less bleed happens. That hood dryer trick would probably work good for thicker hair types that hold water longer.
