Serious question, a password manager beat my own memory trick and I'm still annoyed about it
For 3 years I used a weird system where I mixed my dog's name with the site and a number pattern, and I thought I was untouchable. Then a guy at a security meetup in Tampa showed me how one breach dump would crack my whole pattern in minutes, so I finally tried a real password manager and it flagged 14 reused logins I didn't even remember making. Am I the only one who fought this for way too long?
A guy at a meetup showed me the same thing with my old "add the year to the end" system and I felt like such an idiot. At least you only made 14 reused logins, I found ones from sites I forgot even existed.
