That 40 buck joke book from the airport was a total ripoff

I grabbed this "Ultimate Dad Joke Collection" at the Denver airport gift shop last month for 40 bucks. Got through the first 20 pages and every joke was either stolen from a 90s sitcom or just made no sense at all. I actually tried telling three of them at my son's soccer game and got nothing but crickets. My wife saw the cover and said "you paid THAT much for recycled puns?" Has anyone else gotten burned by those fancy joke compilations, or do I just need to find a better source for fresh material?
