Did you know insurance companies are buying your driving data from car apps?
I read this report from the Mozilla Foundation that looked at 25 car brands and found over half of them can share your driving behavior data with insurance companies without you knowing. They track stuff like hard brakes, speed, and time of day you drive. Is this really something people agreed to when they bought a connected car? Or is this just another example of hidden data collection that benefits corporations at our expense?

People act like every little bit of data is some huge invasion.

lol honestly though people act like companies are reading their texts about what to get for dinner. It's more just aggregate trends than someone actually caring about your late night pizza order. The paranoia is way overblown compared to how boring this data actually is.
