Vent: My grocery store sold my purchase history to an insurance company and my rates went up 40 bucks
Walked into my agent's office in Phoenix last Tuesday to renew my policy, and she literally read back my last 3 months of protein bar and energy drink buys from the loyalty card, then told me my health premium jumped because of 'lifestyle markers', so has anyone else seen their own shopping data weaponized like this or am I just the test dummy?
That is so messed up, I'm sorry your agent actually pulled that on you. Having your protein bars held against you feels like a whole new low. Your mileage may vary but I'd be raising hell with the state insurance office over that.
