Side-by-side deepfake test exposed my ears are blind spots

I ran the same 30 second clip of a local news anchor through two different detection tools last month. One flagged the audio glitches instantly, the other missed them until I zoomed into the ear region frame by frame. Turns out most fake videos mess up ear shapes because the training data ignores them, so now I check ears before anything else. Has anyone else found a body part that reliably outs a deepfake, or am I overthinking this?

30 seconds and one tool caught it instantly while the other needed frame by frame zooming on the ear? That is wild to me because I always assumed these detectors were looking at everything at once, like some kind of full body scan. The part that really gets me is the training data thing, that the ear shapes just get skipped over because nobody labeled them enough, so the fake ears end up looking melty or just slightly off. I have heard people talk about hands and teeth as giveaways too, like weird finger counts or teeth that blur together when the person smiles. Your ear trick seems way more reliable though since ears are not moving around much in a news clip.
