Found an old deleted Reddit post that predicted my town's water issue perfectly
I was digging through archived subreddits last night and stumbled on a post from 2019 about our local water treatment plant. The OP claimed the city was secretly bypassing filters during high demand periods. Everyone called them a conspiracy nut and the post got removed within 2 hours. Fast forward to last month when our boil water advisory hit after that flood. Turns out the guy was spot on about the backup system failing first. Has anyone else found a deleted post that ended up being totally right about something local?

Did you save the archived version before it got wiped?

Tbh I kinda get the excitement around archiving stuff but I think there's a fine line between saving something for posterity and just hoarding. I mean, the internet's already a mess of broken links and dead pages, so maybe letting some stuff go is healthier. Like, if it's that important, someone will repost it or it'll come back around.
