The deleted comment that started a fight in my local gardening group
Someone posted a screenshot of a removed comment about using bleach to clean pots, and it split the whole Facebook page in half. Half the folks say moderation overstepped, the other half say the advice was dangerous. Which side do you land on when the deleted thing was actually useful?

And honestly this is just how EVERYTHING goes now. You see it at work, at school, even in the neighborhood app. Someone posts a half helpful tip and instead of asking a follow up question everyone just screams at each other. Bleach on pots IS useful if you rinse it off good, but try telling that to the lady who thinks you're gonna poison her tomatoes. The real problem is we forgot how to say "that's not how I do it" and just move on. Both sides act like a comment is either gospel or a crime. Deleted or not, nobody learns anything when we all just pick a team and dig in.

Used to be the same way honestly. Thought if someone posted something wrong, I had to correct it or the whole internet would fall apart. But after getting dragged into a couple of those pointless fights, I realized nobody changes their mind mid-argument. The person posting probably just wanted to help, and the person yelling probably just wanted to feel heard. Now I just type out the correction, then delete it and move on. Saves me the headache and honestly keeps the thread way more useful for everyone else. Doesn't mean I agree with bad advice, just means I'd rather let it go than turn a tip into a war zone.
