The new parking app downtown just ate my $8 and the help line is a joke

Last Thursday, I paid for two hours on the ParkDetroit app for a meeting on Woodward, but the app crashed and never showed my receipt. I called their support number three times and got a recording that said "high call volume, try the website" before it hung up. Has anyone else had to fight this company to get their money back?

That eight dollars is a lot to some people and letting it slide just lets bad companies win.

Honestly, eight bucks is like two coffees these days. I get it's annoying when an app glitches, but is it worth all that stress? I've had way worse fees vanish into thin air from bank mistakes. Maybe just chalk it up to the cost of parking in a city and move on. Fighting with some call center over that amount seems like more trouble than it's worth.
