Used to keep every receipt in a shoebox for taxes
Two years ago I was still stuffing paper receipts into an old Nike box under my desk in Warren. My accountant charged me $150 extra every spring just to sort through the mess. Last year I switched to scanning everything with a free app called Smart Receipts. Now I just search by date or vendor and it takes me maybe 20 minutes total. Has anyone else ditched paper filing for their side business?

Switched to Wave for invoicing and it automatically saves everything for tax time.
