Used a cheap harbor freight bore scope on a 6.7 Powerstroke and the picture was way clearer than I expected

Totally get that feeling of being pleasantly surprised by a cheap tool. Had the same thing happen with one of their infrared thermometers last winter, checking for drafts around the house. You go in expecting a blurry mess and end up with a picture clear enough to actually diagnose something. Makes you wonder what else they sell that punches above its weight, you know?

Actually, that's a thermal camera, not just a thermometer. The little gun-shaped ones are thermometers, they just give you a number. The cameras show you the actual heat picture, which is way more useful for finding drafts. The cheap ones are surprisingly decent now. I used a no-name brand one to spot a missing insulation patch in my attic last year.

Guess my standards are just really, really low then.
