Just realized I was saving my digital paintings at too low a resolution for 6 months
I was exporting all my art at 72 DPI because I thought that was fine for online posting. Then a print shop guy told me my files would look blurry if I ever wanted to make prints. I checked my export settings and yeah I had been using the wrong preset the whole time. Has anyone else messed up their export settings and lost a ton of quality without knowing?

Dude same. I had all my photo exports set to 72 DPI for like a year before a friend pointed out they looked like garbage when I tried to print one for a gift.

My first big print job was a 24x36 poster for a client's event. Forgot to switch from 72 DPI. It came out looking like someone smeared vaseline on the lens. Had to redo the whole thing overnight and pay for rush shipping myself. Definitely a 300 dollar lesson in checking your export settings before you hit "send to print.

Used to think 72 DPI was the standard for everything, tbh. Then I tried getting a photo printed and it looked like a watercolor painting gone wrong. Definitely learned that one the hard way.
