That $400 medical record review service was a total scam for my SSDI appeal

Paid $400 to MedReview Pros LLC to get my records organized for my disability hearing back in March. They just printed out stuff I already had and charged me extra for 'expedited processing.' Ended up losing my case partly cause their summary left out 3 key doctor visits. Anyone else get burned by one of these review companies?

That "expedited processing" upcharge sounds like their real scam...

Nah, the expedited fee is just a cash grab, but that's not the real scam... the actual trick is how they slow down the standard processing on purpose to make you pay for the fast lane. I've seen places where the "normal" turnaround is like 10 business days but suddenly drops to 2 days if you throw money at them. It's a pretty common bait and switch. They just shift your order to the front of a line that was never that long to begin with.

Exactly. Just call their bluff and ask for the standard turnaround in writing first.
