Squeeze bottle hack saved me from dropping the whole dish rack

I kept flinging the soap bottle across the counter when it got slippery, so I wrapped a rubber band around the neck for grip and now I don't chase it across the kitchen anymore, has anyone else rigged up a dumb fix like that?

I mean, the rubber band thing is smart but idk, I feel like the real issue is that squeeze bottles are just a terrible design for wet hands. Maybe it's just me but I wonder why nobody talks about putting a small adhesive hook on the wall near the sink and hanging the bottle upside down from it. That way the soap drips into the cap instead of all over the counter and you never have to touch the slippery part. I saw someone do that once and it completely changed how I think about kitchen cleaning.

@adams.uma The hook idea is genius honestly lol. I tried it with a Command hook last month and it fixed my sticky counter problem overnight. Only downside is my cat keeps batting at the dangling bottle but that's a whole other issue. Worth it for not having soap gloop everywhere though.
