Tried super glue for a broken chair leg vs wood glue and the winner was obvious
My kitchen chair snapped at the joint last week and I grabbed the super glue first since it was right there. Held for about a day before it popped loose again. Then I used some old wood glue I had from a 2019 project, clamped it with a belt, and it's been solid for three days now, no wobble. Anyone else find super glue is just a tease for stuff that actually bears weight?

Super glue is more of a confidence trick than an actual fix for anything with real weight on it. Wood glue plus a tight belt clamp is the only way to go if you want it to stay put past dinner time. Learned that the hard way when a dining chair dumped me on the floor mid-sentence.

Used to be a super glue guy for everything honestly. Thought wood glue was just for kids school projects or whatever. Then I tried fixing a wobbly table leg with super glue and it lasted maybe two hours before I heard the crash. Wood glue with a good clamp changed my mind completely. Now I keep a big bottle under the sink and grab it for anything that needs to hold weight. Super glue is good for small cracks or plastic stuff but wood glue is the real deal for furniture.
