Finally upgraded my LNB from a basic one to a PLL type... wow

I was running the same old cheap LNB that came with my first dish for like 4 years. It worked fine, caught the big satellites like 95W and 97W without issue. But last month I swapped it out for a PLL LNB I found on sale for 30 bucks. The difference on weaker transponders is honestly night and day. I'm now pulling in 3 or 4 more channels from 87W that used to just flicker in and out. Even the signal bars on my old reliable feeds jumped from 65% to 80%. Has anyone else noticed a huge jump switching to a PLL type on a 90cm dish?

Night and day" is overselling it. My cheap LNB pulls in everything just fine.

Oh, tell me about it! I had a similar experience when I finally swapped out my old coaxial cable for a better quality one after years of using the same thin stuff.

Wait, you actually saw that big of a jump? I always thought people were just hype about PLLs but I finally grabbed one on a whim and yeah... I was wrong. The stability on the weaker stuff is no joke, I'm getting channels now I just gave up on before.
