inWhy does nobody talk about the time you ask a simple question and get a whole lecture instead
Ever think the expert is being rude by giving too much info? I used to. Thought they were showing off. But now I see it's the opposite. They care so much about their thing they want to give you the full picture. They're trying to be thorough, not annoying. The trick is cutting them off early before the lecture starts, like you said.

inMy friend convinced me to buy a $200 'future-proof' online course on prompt engineering that's already outdated.
Pretty big deal" is paying for something that's already useless.

inRemember when you could just call the bank and get a real person to fix a credit report error?
It's not just a pain, it's a real problem for people who aren't comfortable online or have tricky cases. The whole "go to the website" message feels like a brick wall when you're stuck. They save money on staff but waste hours of our time trying to find answers in their poorly designed help sections. It turns a quick phone call into a whole stressful project.

inUnpopular opinion: Charging $150 an hour for my web design work got me better clients than my old $50 rate ever did.
Sometimes you just scare away the good clients who are on a budget though.

inMy chaotic experience at the Bangkok flower market last spring
But honestly, I had the opposite take... getting a hundred lilies by accident was the best part of my trip. It forced me to be creative and I ended up making these huge arrangements I never would have tried. Sometimes the mess and the mix-ups are where the good stuff happens, you know? Getting everything perfect sounds boring.
