Why does nobody warn you that a $400 zapier bill can sneak up in one quarter
I run ops at a small b2b saas in Austin and about 5 months ago I set up a bunch of automatic workflows to move deal data between our CRM and a couple other tools. Felt like a genius for two weeks. Then finance flagged a $412 charge last quarter and I dug into it and most of the tasks were firing from a loop I never meant to turn on. One trigger was updating the same record over and over, so it kept setting off another step and burning tasks all night. I burned almost 60k tasks in 30 days on stuff nobody even needed. I killed the loop and rewrote the steps to check for a flag first, and the bill dropped to under $40 the next month. Now I check the task history once a week like a hawk. Anyone got a good way to catch these runaway automations before the invoice shows up?
