Swapped from a cutterhead to a plain suction dredge on a small river job near Harrisburg last spring
The cutterhead kept getting tangled in roots and debris, but the plain suction handled it all without a single jam and we finished the 200 foot stretch in 3 days instead of 5, has anyone else made a switch like that on a silty site?
You know what nobody talks about... how much quieter fishing gets too @price.ray. No more yanking and cursing every five minutes, just casting and actually enjoying the water.
Is it just me or does that kind of peace sneak into everything once you stop fighting it? Like I've noticed the same thing with cooking dinner, no more rushing to chop stuff or burning things because I'm distracted. Even driving feels different, less honking at people who cut me off. It's like the whole world slows down when you stop trying to force it to move your way.
